Dr. Patti Bevilacqua to Raise Her Voice for Millions Living with MS at Speaker Slam® Toronto

A Voice for the Invisible

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO, ON — May 25, 2025 – From Grand Forks to one of North America’s most prestigious stages, Dr. Patti Bevilacqua will compete at Speaker Slam® on May 27 in Toronto, lending her voice to those living with invisible illness. The event arrives just three days before World MS Day, a poignant parallel to Patti’s 35-year journey living with Multiple Sclerosis.

After a devastating diagnosis at the start of her career, Patti didn’t retreat; she transformed. Now a PhD holder, TEDx speaker, and founder of fearLESS With MS, she’s using her platform to challenge assumptions and shift perceptions.

Speaker Slam® will showcase ten storytellers on the theme The Power of No. For Patti, that power lies in refusing to accept invisibility. “No” became her springboard toward education, community, and a mission that transcends limitation.

“People with MS are often told what they can’t do. I’m here to rewrite that narrative.”

With authenticity, humour, and fierce determination, Patti Bevilacqua represents what it means to rise louder and stronger from a quiet diagnosis.

Experience her journey and feel the impact of her truth.
